What is a VE Panel?

​​Victron Energy’s VE Panel allows you to bring together all of your AC & DC connections into one safe and easy to use distribution center.

Used mainly in stationary settings, this 5k Power Distribution Panel gives you an NEC code compliant solution with a sleek design that quickens the install, negating the need to cobble together off the shelf enclosures to accomplish the same outcome. 

Features:
  • Provides adequate airflow for the inverter.
  • Pre-wired to include conductors to AC IN, AC OUT, Neutral, Ground and Battery Negative and Positive in your inverter charger.
  • Includes conduit knock outs.
  • Comes with 3 sets of AC breakers: AC IN, AC Out and Bypass Assembly.
  • Includes knockouts for panel mount circuit breakers and Din Rail space on either side of the VE Panel. 
  • Includes places to land your AC IN, AC OUT and Common Ground & Neutral conductors. This is a convenient place to land generator input and conductors out to your mains panel and accomplish the Neutral to Ground bond when required.
  • Land your MPPT Conductors to help manage and connect required overcurrent protection.
  • Includes pre-installed shunt. This shunt is just for transition purposes for managed batteries, which do not require a shunt. Also, a smart shunt or BMV 712 can be installed in its place.
  • Offers a code compliant solution - UL 1741 and CSA C22.2 for standards of safety.

This 5K unit comes in 2 models, a Primary and a Follower. A Primary has a by-pass assembly, and it’s used in a single inverter 120 Volt application.

If you require Split Phase 120/240 Volts you will need to add a second inverter/charger for line 2. In this case, you will need a Follower VE Panel. A Follower is similar to a Primary but manages conductors and overcurrent protection just for line 2. A Follower does not include a by-pass assembly.

The Primary and Follower VE Panels work together to help manage conductors and over current protection for your North American Split Phase 120/240V 5k system.
