Off-Grid 2.4kW System

This system was installed for a small homestead, combining Victron Energy equipment with Discover AES LiFePO4 batteries to creat a "Closed-Loop" configuration.  The system includes two 5kVA Quattro Inverter/Chargers, two 250/60 SmartSolar MPPT Charge Controllers, two Discover AES 48V Lithium Batteries with 13.3 kWh of energy storage and 2.4 kW of Solar. The owners use normal household loads along with energy efficient appliances complimented with load shifting strategies such as using propane or their Solar Cooker for cooking, and heating with wood. Opportunity loads, such as garden irrigation and electric space heaters, are used while excess energy is being produced.
