Consulting
Need help with your system design?
Consult with us and we will assist you through the process of safely designing your off-grid solar, wind, or hybrid (solar + wind+generator) system. We feel anyone living or recreating off-grid should know their system inside and out and be able to personally troubleshoot their system. That's why we don't design your system for you, we design it with you. We have over 12 years of experience in designing and installing both wind and solar electric systems. We live and work with the equipment everyday on our remote homestead so we understand both the advantages and limitations of an off-grid lifestyle. Check out some of our projects here.
Overall System Design with Diagram
Load AnalysisEvery off-grid system should begin with a thorough load analysis. It begins with your energy needs and an understanding of how many watts and amps each appliance will draw from your battery bank. This is important information and will determine the size of your future battery bank and solar/wind system. We will also cover load shifting possibilities as well as opportunity loads.

Battery Choice and SizingThere are many choices for batteries on the market today. Based on your load analysis we can help you decide which type of battery is best for your situation, choice of voltage and how to configure your battery bank. We will also address "Days of Autonomy", which refers to the numbers of days your battery bank can provide power without a recharge from the sun, wind or generator.

Equipment Choice and SizingThere are a lot of things to consider when sizing your off-grid system. Also based on your load analysis we can help you determine what size inverter/charger you will need as well as wattage ,number of solar modules and applicable solar charge controller you will need for your system to replenish the energy used in your batteries. Depending on your needs, there are several options for monitoring your system as well. We can also help with accurate cable sizing for safe installation.
