About the Training

This 2 ½ - Day Hands-on Training is located deep in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. During the event, participants will build and commission an Off-Grid single or split-phase system that consists of inverter/charger, solar charge controller, power distribution panel, monitoring equipment, properly sized conductors/overcurrent protection and battery storage.

Presented by Off-Grid Solutions, Victron Energy and Discover Energy Systems staff utilizing Victron Energy power conversion equipment and Discover Energy batteries.

Meals:
Lunch will be provided all 3 days. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know so we can accommodate you. Please note that outside food and drinks are not allowed in the resort facility.

Arriving by plane:

There are 3 airports in the area that you can fly into:

The closest airport is Rapid City Airport (RAP) and is 45 minutes from the venue. Car rentals are available:  Rapid City Regional Airport ✈️ The fastest way to the Black Hills (rapairport.com)

Chadron, NE Airport (CDR) is another option, located south of the venue, it's 1 hour 20 minutes from the venue. This airport serves travelers to and from the Denver International airport. Car rentals are available. Largest Commuter Airline - Southern Airways Express (iflysouthern.com)

Alliance, NE (AIA) is located south of the venue and is a 2 1/2-hour drive. This airport serves travelers to and from the Denver International airport. Home - Fly Alliance NE

Arriving by car/RV:

Coming from the south (Chadron or Alliance NE): Take SD-79 N/Heartland Expressway, turn left onto L H Road and then a slight left onto 16A. Creekside Lodge will be on your left.

Coming from the north (Rapid City SD): Take SD-79S/Heartland Expressway just past Hermosa SD, turn right onto SD 36 W, slight left onto 16A. Creekside Lodge will be on your left.

Location & Entrance Fees:
This training is located at 13389 US-16 Scenic, Custer, SD 57730, in the Custer State Park Resort at Creekside Lodge Rooms (Coolidge Room).
Custer State Resort is located in Custer State Park. If you are only coming for the meeting, you will need to stop at the Entrance Gate, let them know that you are attending the meeting but not staying the night and you will receive a special event pass at no cost.
If you plan on staying the night in the park you will need a 7-day temporary park pass ($20 per vehicle).​
