Off-Grid AC Coupled Hybrid System

This system was designed and installed as an off-grid AC coupled micro-grid for a residence/ranch utilizing a Magnum inverter/charger, 2.8 kW of tracked PV (DC) and 3 kW of AC coupled wind. The system had a Lead Acid 740 aH battery bank at 48 Volts but has been upgraded to 2 Iron Edison 48V Lithium Batteries. The system also utilizes excess energy produced from the wind turbine to preheat radiant floor heat and domestic hot water.
